World Red Cross Day and Red Crescent Day 2024

World Red Cross Day 2024: World Red Cross Day, also known as World Red Cross and Red Crescent Day, is celebrated annually on 8 May.

This day commemorates the birthday of the Swiss entrepreneur Henry Dunant, who founded the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRI) in Switzerland in 1863 in Geneva. He was born on May 8, 1828, and also received the Nobel Peace Prize.

The day also honors all volunteers who have made an unprecedented contribution to people in distress or emergency.

The Red Cross owns the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies, which has societies in 186 member countries.

There are currently 189 national Red Cross and Red Crescent societies around the world, employing more than 97 million people and volunteers.

The organization visited its website and wrote: “On the occasion of the World Red Cross and Red Crescent World Day and in 2019, we will celebrate the strength and scope of our global network, as well as the contribution of our staff and 11.7 million active volunteers on #Amour.”

This day is celebrated every year to relieve people’s suffering and to give them a dignified life. It is celebrated by Red Cross organizations around the world, helping people with independence, humanity, impartiality, universality, unity, and neutrality – basic principles of organization.

History of the Day

An international commission presented the Red Cross as an important contribution to peace in the 14th International Conference of the Red Cross after the First World War. The 15th International Conference in Tokyo in 1934 approved the principles of the Red Cross for use throughout the world and throughout different regions.

In the “LORCS”, the General Assembly of the International Federation of Red Cross Societies (IFRC) requested the possibility of an annual celebration. In 1949, the proposal to celebrate the World Red Cross was adopted. It became officially known as “World Red Cross Day and Red Crescent Day” in 1984.

The International Committee of the Red Cross and its members organize various programs and events to facilitate and promote their humanitarian activities.

They even motivate people to protect their lives and care for the dignity of the victims. This day is celebrated by all departments of the Red Cross to help those affected by floods, earthquakes, and natural disasters and to protect their lives from emergencies.

The celebration of World Red Cross Day

World Cross Day celebrates the survival of people affected by many kinds of natural disasters and other problems that make life difficult. It is very important that people perform many tasks, especially to handle things properly.

People celebrate World Cross Day every year to give them much more relief and harmony after the many disasters that have occurred in many countries in defense of their rights. This Day is also used to reduce epidemic mortality rates.

World Red Cross Day serves to address residents of vulnerable areas to ensure safety in emergencies and forces many public services, communities,3 and members to help in many areas of health disasters and many endangered conditions. This allows people to restore respect for their better work administration in many places.

It also saves people from the war. World Red Cross Day enables people to receive all kinds of facilities and services in terms of security in different places, regardless of problems and without the financial support of the inhabitants.

There are many new branches, many of which are new volunteers. The Rath Yatra movement organizes many types of local programs to demonstrate the activities of the Red Cross.

This volunteer has been working for nearly 60 hours for many years, the so-called volunteer hours of the subject, to which the volunteers delegate the task.

This volunteer motivates many young people of the generation to help young people in many of the worst situations, such as floods, earthquakes, thalassemia, hurricanes, and many other problems.

Many volunteers organize blood donation and anemia camps so that people can familiarize themselves with many activities. Volunteers organize many of the camps where people can learn about development activities they wish to participate in.
